Kpop – Choreography Based Class
Kpop, which is short for Korean pop, is a music genre stemming from Korea. Kpop is known for its infectious catchy beats and tunes, along with funky dance routines. The music during the class will range from super cute and edgy Kpop beats to sounds and elements of Hip Hop.
A 60 minute dance class for girls between the ages of 5-14. Dancing Minions classes consist of a wide range of dance genres – Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Zumba, Kpop, Latin, and Bollywood. Our Minions will move to different music with different instructors, everyday of the week. We challenge them, we develop their talents, and we ensure they have the best hour of their week!
Jazz Funk – Choreography Based Class
Jazz funk is a form of dance that relies on grace, sensuality, balance, and interpretation to music. This dance genre allows you to channel your inner sass queen whilst showcasing your uniqueness and authenticity as a dancer. Jazz Funk takes elements from Hip Hop, Jazz, and Waacking. In 60 minutes you’ll learn fancy footwork, big leaps, turns, unique movements, and most importantly – how to express through music and dance!
Dancehall – Choreography Based Class
Dancehall is all about attitude and energy. Originating from Jamaica, this style has become immensely popular and you will often see it in mainstream videoclips such as: Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Justin Bieber. Authentic Dancehall moves are generally created during street parties in Jamaica. There are over 800 dance moves and in class you will learn the popular ones!
Soca – Choreography Based Class
Soca is a Caribbean inspired dance-fitness class. It is a high-energy and demanding dance workout, focusing namely on waistline movement. It will challenge your coordination, balance, legs, and certainly cardiovascular system! The class covers basic Soca movements, and continues into a variety of dance combinations/routines to the latest Soca music. No prior experience is necessary!
Afrobeatz – Choreography Based Class
Afrobeats dance fuses traditional and modern African dances with Hip Hop, Rhythm & Blues, House, Jamaican Dancehall, and other styles. In 60 minutes, participants will learn foundational movements and modern dance steps from around the African continent. The benefits of this class include enhanced technique, musicality, and cultural knowledge, in addition to learning in a fun, high-energy environment. All levels are welcome!
Belly Dance – Choreography Based Class
Belly Dance, also referred to as Oriental Dance, is an Arabic expressive dance that emphasizes complex movements of the torso. The class is inspired by Middle Eastern Folkloric dance, Ballet, and an aesthetic from golden-era movies in both Cairo and Hollywood. Expressive, sensual, playful and flirtatious, this dance encourages you to embrace your femininity while learning muscle control, grace, and poise. Across 60 minutes, participants will learn basic drills and techniques, whilst moving to various routines and tracks.
Bollywood Dance – Choreography Based Class
Inspired by the high energy music from Indian films, our mixed level Bollywood class combines traditional Indian folk and classical dance with Bhangra and contemporary movements like Hip hop, Jazz, Latin and Belly dance. You will learn technique and choreography that incorporate rhythmic, full body movement. Every class includes a Bhangra warm up, Bollywood skills, and a routine that will stay with you forever!
Latin Dance – Choreography Based Class
Latin Dance class aims to introduce a variety of Latin dances such as Salsa, Bachata, Cha cha, Samba, Afro-Cuban and many more. You will learn basic steps and choreographies in this class. Week by week, you will experience progress in your skills and coordination across various Latin styles. It is a fun, stress-free class you will definitely leave the room wanting more! No experience or partner required.
Urban/Hip hop Dance – Choreography Based Class
Hip hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of Hip hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily Breaking, Locking, and Popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Students will learn basic Hip hop steps and a full choreography to main-stream Hip hop music. All levels are welcome!
Konga® – Dance-Fitness Class
An easy-to-follow, high-intensity fusion of cardio, dance and strength exercises set to the hottest beats from all decades. KONGA®, originating from Australia (TheJungleBody®), is a fierce workout designed to burn and tone your physique whilst ensuring you have a blast!
Zumba® – Dance-Fitness Class
Zumba® is a fun aerobic fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training. You’ll move to tunes across the world, while breaking a MASSIVE sweat!
